Naijatrue Celebrity of the Week goes to Bukola Elemide AKA Asa

Celebrities who support humanitarian causes are not only the bravest people in the world, they are the celebrities who deserve the most praise for their sacrifice and commitment towards providing a future for the less privileged.

The Naijatrue team, after several considerations of the involvement of various Nigerian celebs in Charity work, has unanimously pick Bukola Elemide AKA Asa for her wholehearted passion of helping people through especially children "The Dreamer Girl" project.

The Dreamer Girl is a pet project of Bukola Elemide AKA Asa which focuses on enhancing literacy in primary schools across Nigeria. The Dreamer Girl project builds libraries across primary schools in Nigeria and organises reading and literacy classes with organisations for the pupils. Dreamer Girl in 2013 successfully completed its first library at the Progressive High School in Surulere, Lagos with other Nigerian celebrities and the Ovie Brume Foundation.

We appeal to other Nigerian artist, who have not yet identified with the fact that God has blessed them to become a blessing to their world, to take a cue from ASA.

We are also very aware that there are many Nigerian celebrities involved in charitable works. We intend to feature many more in our subsequent edition of "Naijatrue Celebrity of the Week"
