-A Tree Planted By The Water
Jeremiah 17:7-8 declares: “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. 8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit".
Tomorrow is the last Friday of the month of November and we're all Fasting. In the evening, we'll have prayer services in all our churches. Please make sure you participate in these. Remember, 1Timothy 4:8 says: "For physical training or exercise is of some value, but godliness is much more important and has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come". The word 'godliness' here (Grk -eusebeia) refers to piety towards God; and Fasting and Praying are acts of piety that strengthen our faith.
